Thank you very much, Congress.

Well. After all of the hullabaloo and wrangling over the debt ceiling and the promise to America that what our representatives did to us was worth it to protect our credit rating, S&P tells the government today that it can no longer rank the US along with other debtors who carry the sterling AAA rating.  Thank you very much, Congress. The Tea Partiers and others of their “No Compromise” ilk stuck it to the poor and the middle class once again.  Can’t we all just tell them how happy we are that they’re off on their vacations now at our expense?

Can sane, responsible citizens see any way or any reason to send these scalawags back to Washington? Oh, I know.  We say that new faces don’t know the ropes and can’t accomplish anything.  Really?  Can new faces possibly do any worse at governing than the old faces?  I can’t abide sending these people who don’t understand the meaning of civil service back into the halls of Congress to push their personal agendas any longer. How about we bond together, reshuffle the cards, and see what new lawmakers can do?

I’m more than ready.  Let me know what you think.
